Two big parades take place during carnival each year: one in Durlach and one in Karlsruhe Centre. The one in Durlach is supposed to be shorter. It lasted almost an hour and a half, but I could see everything and it was very well organized. My colleagues are now in Cologne and I am anxious to see their photos too. Until then, enjoy:

It was lovely to see children from the very big and colorful parade trucks throwing with candy and other sweets to the other children standing on the sides with their little or bigg bags :)
